Here's the Deal.

One day a homeless girl stopped me in the subway.  I was honest and told her I didn't have any money, but that I was on the way to a job interview.  If I got the job I would take her our for Chinese Food.  That was eight years ago.  Her name is Jackie and since then she has slept in:

• The subway station
• A halfway house (where a housemate once spit in her face)
• Now the YWCA.

Six years ago I lost that job and couldn't help her anymore, she came to my house everyday with groceries, words of encouragement and support until I found more work.

Now Jackie is moving into her own apartment:

Last week Jackie and I went to Target and made a list of everything she would need to live on her own.  So now need to throw Jackie the biggest housewarming ever.  She needs:

• Dishes.
• Pots.
• Cleaning products.
• Curtains
• Sheets.
• You name it.

The Impact
