The Yellow Bellies - FIRST Screening

In July 2012, we shot this wicked cool movie about the underground music scene in Jacksonville, Florida which explored the lives of The Yellow Bellies, an all-girl punk band. While essentially a Riot Grrrl romance, The Yellow Bellies is a study of modern youth in the artist community.

Its time to show it to off first to the community that helped make it possible, for one night only on December 20th at 7:00PM at Sun-Ray Cinema in Jacksonville, Florida.

Why Are Tickets $20?

We borrowed most of the money to make this movie and now we have to pay it back. By buying a ticket, you are helping us pay back our loan and retroactively investing in our movie. In the process you get cool stuff like tickets to the first screening and screener DVD's. We're aware that not everybody can make it out to Jacksonville for the screening.  Don't worry, we got you covered. We will be streaming the movie online for one day only, and for $25 we'll give you acceess to it so you can watch it from home two days after the screening on December 22nd. Plus, everyone who takes part in the campaign will get their name in the final credits of the movie!  

Once our debts are paid, we'll be able to take this movie to the next stage of it's life and submit it to film festivals all over the world.

This film means a lot to everybody who was involved, and that passion shows in the final product.  This was not a film designed to make millions of dollars for some big studio.  This is a group of young artists, putting everything they have on screen, conveying a message and presenting a world that actually means something to them.  It's kind of our love letter to the arts, and the city we inhabit.
