THE WAR

Short Summary

THE WAR is 10 part mini series about an epic NERF WAR between two rival groups of kids (the Dark Knights and the Green Avengers) that began after a skirmish that couldn't be solved diplomatically, escalated into a full scale battle. It is modeled after the HBO mini series “Band of Brothers”. There will be guest directors for the different episodes adding their unique spin to the series all while maintaining a cohesive theme.  The 10 episodes are:

Parts:

 Part 1 - The Backstory (How The War Began)

Part 2 -  Kerfuffle (The Savage Attack from both sides)

Part 3 - The Cold War, A Documentary (view of war life)

Part 4 - The Coooooooo (General Gooftroop is replaced in a coup d' etat)

Part 5 - Alpha Squad NJ2SB (They are sent to end the war...)

Part 6 -  P.O.W./U.S.O. (Alpha Squad's capture, and the troops are entertained)

Part 7 Replacements/Negotiatons (After weeks of war, new recruits. Negotiations take place)

Part 8 - The beginning of...(The most brutal part of the war)

Part 9 - ...The End (The end of the war is near)

Part 10 - Peace (Peace prevails once again, or does it?)

 Who We Are: Marcus A. Stricklin (Writer/Director/Producer), Sandy Kim (Actor, Producer, Director), Max Milazzo (Producer, CEO of Eggstar Productions LLC and cool kid). Also on the production team are: Armand Milazzo, Dee Griggs, Cassandra Nicholson, James Alire, Jamie Fultz, Ron Foltz, Danielle Deutsch.  Guest Directors include: Patric Adams, Jason Farnum, Sally Ann Francis and Demetria Griggs and we will be adding more soon!

Thank you so much for taking the time to read about our campaign! We are a brother and sister team who came together as creative partners to pursue our love for making films, TV shows, and public service announcements.  Someday we would love to be able to do this on a full time basis, but for now we balance our passion for filmmaking with full time jobs, running a business, being parents, and being part time Superheroes (okay that last one was a stretch).

We realized that sitting around waiting for the phone to ring would ultimately never lead to a life of creative fulfillment. The best way to have a voice, and to tell stories that we believe in was to create them ourselves. So this is what we have started to do! We also both love working with children and providing avenues for them to shine!

During a recent screening of our short film “The Last Dance”, we met an amazing 9 year old boy named Max Milazzo who impressed us so much with his entrepreneurial spirit and drive, that we asked him to be our Co-Producer. Max started a company called EGGSTAR PRODUCTIONS LLC so that he could produce his own films. How cool is that?

Why Do We Need Your Help?

We have been fortunate enough to build solid relationships with some of the most talented actors and crew that you could find anywhere in the world,right here in Phoenix, Arizona. The currency we have is people. Great, passionate and highly skilled people who have a shared desire to work together to make projects we believe in and THE WAR is one of these projects.

Producing takes a ton of drive, passion and a dedicated team of individuals willing to do whatever it takes to make the project the best it can possibly be. We are extremely fortunate to have an ample supply of all of these things! Unfortunately, it also takes a ton of cash and this is where we need your help.

We really believe in this project and we are determined to shoot it even if we don't meet our goal but any help that you could give would go a long way!  All of the money raised will go towards:

THE WAR has an incredible cast of over 50 local Phoenix, AZ child actors as well as a fantastic crew coming together.  I wish we could list them all but that would take up too much space so PLEASE check out our website and FACEBOOK pages to keep track of the fantastic cast and crew!  Some of the stars of THE WAR include the amazing: Sean Laguna who plays General WARHAMMER, Bradley Mcglasson who plays General GOOFTROOP, Jessie Finch who plays BROKEN ARROWand Brandon Dorssom who plays BLUE FALCON . Both Marcus's son Jordan Stricklin and my son Dave Limone Jr. will be a part of the fun.  All of the parents involved also contribute so much time ,energy and resources to our projects.  We have recruited some of them to play nurses, doctors and war veterans.   This is a WONDERFUL opportunity for these talented and hard working children to be a part of something special and to gain more exposure for themselves since some of them definitely have a future in Hollywood and beyond!
