Please help us raise money for the recipient of The Terry Barresi Memorial Scholarship. The scholarship will be made in Terry’s honor to a graduating Lyman Hall High School senior, with preference given to student-athletes and those planning to enter the education field. Our goal is to make this an annual award.
As a dedicated athlete — competing in track and field at Lyman Hall High School and Syracuse University, as well as playing football at Lyman Hall, and as a member of Crossfit Triton in Wallingford — Terry always strove for excellence. To his friends and teammates, it was evident that Terry truly valued the camaraderie and the powerful bonds forged by athletics, team sports, and competition. In turn, we all valued Terry’s unwavering companionship, tenacity, hard work, and loyalty.
Our goal is to keep Terry’s altruistic spirit alive as well. Through his pursuit of a career in special education, Terry endearingly devoted himself to some of the most vulnerable students in the educational system. He lived out these noble ambitions while completing a Masters in Special Education at The George Washington University, and teaching at Anacostia High School in Washington DC.
Terry’s loss left an irreplaceable void in the lives of his friends, family, and community. Please help us continue to make a positive impact in Terry’s name and honor.
