The RSS reader service that stays

A replacement for Google Reader helping you manage feeds and use them in other apps. It simply stays as long as there are paying users.

Another free service is closing down!

Another free service bites the dust because priorities have changed. Google is focussing on their other innovations, but their loyal users need to move their data.

For Reader users, this sucks.

This will not be a free service. This will not depend on investors pouring in money into a startup. This reader app will be about paying customers.

What we want to do with the reader app

The first priority will be to bring back the Google Reader online experience.

Secondly we will focus on finding integration with the other apps you've used in combination with Google Reader, like the awesome Reeder application.

The goal is to have a comparable service available in a hosted fashion.

We built it with these values

The underlying principles and values we use to create this reader app:

  • Designed to get out of your way
  • Your data is yours, we don't have other priorities with it
  • Listen to customers feedback and needs actively
  • Continiously improve the application
  • Build a ecosystem around your subscriptions through an awesome API

Pricing

Currently we're looking to price this service at €5.- per month. The perks have been set to reflect this price. This means if you take the €40.- perk you will have €20.- discount in the first year.

Proven track record

Nice to meet you, we are Firmhouse. We're a Dutch company in business for almost 5 years. We specialize in web projects supporting startups and online innovations. Our goal is to become a company with a portfolio of multiple products. This project fits in perfectly.

Other Ways You Can Help

Maybe you're not a Google Reader fan or current user. You can still help out! Help us spread the word so other people will be aware of this alternative after Google closes down their Reader app.
