The way I was conceived is so sad but I am here and so loved!
Hello my name is Angenette Barnes and I am a close friend of the mother of the child who birthed Lil John. I am campaigning for a family who at this present time is in dire need of any help and support that may be given to them. We see the surface story but you don't see the real life pain, suffering, struggling and separation they have experienced this past year. Despite the way Lil John was conceived he is well loved and has a long road ahead of him. He and his mom will need lifelong counseling, love, compassion and guidance to excel and prosper throughout their maturing years. With little to no support they're having a horrendous time trying to obtain housing, transportation and the basic needs of life.
Although the perpetrator admitted his guilt and gave an apology, his apology will never suffice for the innocence lost, and the birth of a child. With the power of media and the support of caring citizens, I believe we can make such a tragic beginning have a happy and joyous conclusion!
Here is a letter written by Lil John's mother.
"Since this awful violation of my innocence, I have been through more traumatic experiences. Being taken away from my mom, who I love with all my heart was the worst. I was in two different foster homes and emotionally abused in both of them. Lil John was in both of them as well and was not properly cared for by the adults. I was so far away from my mother and family and only got to see her once a week for one hour. As time went on I lost most of my family and all of my friends, except for one. I went to school where I was ridiculed and sometimes bullied. I have been punished for being the victim and did nothing to deserve being taken away from my mother. I am with her now, but the court won't close our case and reunite us completely without a place to live so temporarily I'm at my grandfather's house. We have no car, there is no bus route near us. My mom has to struggle everyday just to get to work and see me every day. Lil John has to get to daycare as well so she often stays at her goddaughter's house so she's closer to work and won't lose her job. We long to be together in one safe house. We've been so many places and they tell my mom she hasn't worked long enough or doesn't make enough money so no one will rent to her. We need help desperately. We want to move on with our lives and live happy and safe, somewhere, as soon as possible. I have been without my mother far to long. Please look inside and deep into your heart and help us reunite once and for all so we can relocate to a place where no one knows us and have a chance at a future together finally."
