Our Story
The Pickle is a short film, as well as the the final project for a group of students of Tribeca Flashpoint Academy. However, we aren't treating it as a student film, and neither should you. All of us are approaching it as a professional, independent project. We worked hard to assemble a crew of dedicated, motivated, and passionate people. We all want The Pickle to turn out great, but not because it's for a grade. We want to see The Pickle in film festivals like Sundance, SXSW, and Tribeca. We want to have a professional calling card to show employers what we are capable of making. We want to entertain the hell out of you, and we think we'll succeed.
The Pickle's Story
What We Need & What You Get
While we will get some money from the school, the majority of our budget must be raised by us. We are looking for $2,000 to cover our costs. One of our biggest expenses is the spelling bee itself. Much of our budget will go to renting a banquet hall and turning it into The National Spelling Bee. Your money will also be used for wardrobe, props, and feeding our rather large cast and crew. However, your generosity will not go unnoticed (or unrewarded). We have a bunch of great rewards for every donation level, but they do get better the more you give. Want a Limited Edition The Pickle T-Shirt? There's a donation level for that. Want to be a featured extra in the film? There's a donation level for that too. Want to lose those love handles without spending countless hours at the gym? Me too. We're giving this film everything we've got. All we're asking is for you to give what you can.
Other Ways You Can Help
Can't afford to donate but still want to help out? There is still a lot that you can do.
1. If you think you can donate props, decorations, wardrobe, food, or anything else, we would love to hear from you. Send Marc an email at HopheadProductions@gmail.com and let him know what you have to offer.
2. Spread the word about The Pickle. Tweet/Post/Blog about us and send others our way.
