From the creative minds that brought you the musical, The Song of Birds & Bees, and the superhero action thriller, Omega Squad: Resolute, comes a genre-bending nostalgia-busting epic collection of misadventures.
Our next feature length anthology film will be directed by The Song of Birds & Bees Producer Victor Masters. It is an over the top tall tale fantasy which is heavily influenced by pop culture of the 70’s, 80’s, and 90’s. Each tale will feature a genre and era from which it had its day. We want to create an amazingly fantastical world that touches many of the times we look back on in fond remembrance.
We are really thrilled about this project. We think we can spin a lot of fun epic tales from this world we are creating and we need YOU (the fans) to help us raise the money to make the world as epic as possible! (After all visual effects are an expensive time consuming endeavor if you want it done right.)
Grandpa Mack regales his grandkids and kids from the neighborhood with various tales from his youth as told from his old journal. It is in these tales we meet a young Mack; an unassuming young man starting out in life that encounters strange and extraordinary circumstances. Four tales will be told and are titled as:
- Mighty Mack and the Squatters of Residence 12
- Mighty Mack and the Doomsday Bug of Y2K
- Mighty Mack and the Dreaded Drive of the DMV
- Mighty Mack in Escape From Bitch Mountain (pt.1)
The first tale, Mighty Mack and the Squatters of Residence 12, centers on Mack inheriting an old house that was left to him by his own grandfather. During the intervening time the house sat empty it was taken over by some uninvited guests. Now Mack has to get them out if he wants to reclaim his grandfather’s home as his own.
The second tale, Mighty Mack and the Doomsday Bug of Y2K, will be an animated adventure that brings Mack into the world of cyberspace. On the last day of the 20th century a great danger lurked in the shadows of our newly connected world. The danger of technology going haywire at the stroke of midnight was causing mayhem in the streets. Something sentient sought to take advantage of that. It’s up to Mack to stop it and save the human race…. with a little help from some friends.
The third tale, Mighty Mack and the Dreaded Drive of the DMV, will be a road adventure celebrating the time honored rite of passage of getting your driver’s license. After completing his written test he’s finally ready for the road or so he thinks. The drive test takes a hair-raising turn when he gets the driving instructor from hell. Will he pass… or even survive?
The fourth tale, Mighty Mack in Escape From Bitch Mountain, will be a two part story which we will film the first part as a cliffhanger if we make funding minimum goal. If we exceed the funding minimum we will film the second half as well. It will put Mack in a very different situation. He will be caught up in some family drama in a land far away from his home. Alone, he will have to survive in a place where he can’t tell friend from foe and trust is in short supply. Can he escape the shadow of the mountain before it’s too late? Or will his circumstances be too much for him to overcome. He’s going to have to rely on brains more than brawn this time around.
What We Need & What You Get
We are looking for a minimum funding base of $40,000 to film these fantastic four tales that we know will blow your mind...and more than that you’ll be able to tell your friends and family, “I SUPPORTED THAT FILM BEFORE IT WAS POPULAR!”
With the $40k we raise from this campaign, we will be able to shoot this film as we envision. The majority of the funding will go towards paying cast/crew, especially the stunt people and special effects technicians, into creating the animation & VFX action sequences, and securing the locations. It will be a tremendous undertaking to produce a film of this level, but with years of filmmaking experience we are ready to face it head on. Challenge accepted. If we don’t meet funding goal we’ll start filming the tales one at a time with the funding we have can cover. With your amazing support we hope we can film this all in one shot instead. The more funding we get the more awesome it'll all be as we'll put any extra funds back into the project to make it as epic and fun as possible.
We promise every dollar you contribute will end up on-screen, and the more we surpass our $40k goal, the better the overall film will be. Here's a list of a few things your donations will help to create:
- High speed chase on highway and through the desert
- An over the top battle royale shoot out in an urban warzone
- An epic man to man brawl that pays homage to many of the famous fights in cinema
- A dazzling animated sequence of the virtual world
- A well choreographed musical number
In exchange for your support we are offering all kinds of cool stuff.

Some of you may know who we are. Some of you may not! And that’s okay. Here’s a little bit about our team:
Ariodite Films started as an association of filmmakers and other media related people based out of San Diego, California. Originally conceived and founded in 2008 by Victor Masters during his time as an undergraduate at the University of California, San Diego. During his time there he networked with several talented and upcoming artists with interests in a variety of areas in the filmmaking process from writing and editing, to directing and cinematography. They collaborated on several projects and continued that collaboration post-graduation.
Kai Ling Clark and Kenneth Kim have been integral in several film productions and have been a part of the production team since their college days. Actress and filmmaker respectively they have been a mainstay of Ariodite Films productions and have contributed their skills in numerous ways. Our group has since expanded to include several other very talented people. We are going to the next level...
