What is the Machinima Expo?
The Machinima Expo is a virtual film festival dedicated to machinima, the art of 3D animation made from game engines. The Expo, which takes place every year in November, is a non-profit event made up of volunteers from all over the world who work to share and promote the art of machinima. The event recognizes the best in this emerging art form by presenting films, machinima-related programming, interviews, and awards.
The main goals of the Machinima Expo are to share the finest machinima films from all over the world and to provide a meeting place for anyone who is interested in the art of machinima.
The Machinima Expo 6 will take place on November 17, 2013. This is the sixth year of the Machinima Expo. In the previous five years we have screened over 300 films, provided almost 50 hours of programming, and have welcomed nearly 5,000 visitors to our virtual film festival.
Here is the trailer we created from many of the 70 films we screened at the Machinima Expo in 2012.
Where Does the Machinima Expo Take Place?
The Machinima Expo 6 will take place virtually through LiveStream, which is a live video streaming service. We upload our machinima films and our programming to the LiveStream server, and then on November 17th at 12 pm (PST) we will embed the feed on our website and our Facebook page. Through live video and web-chat, we’ll engage the machinima community and anyone who has come to watch the films and learn about machinima.
To attend the Machinima Expo 6 all you need is a computer and an internet connection.

practical how-to tutorials on making sets, importing props, and
creating a specific style for your machinima film. All of our
programmers are active machinima filmmakers who have many years of
