The Lost Words create typographic wall art using sustainable materials and hand made processes. We aim to inspire while supporting local charities.
We are a husband and wife team from Ocean Grove, Victoria, Australia who along with our studio manager Tylee (German Shepherd) are excited to be releasing our launch range here on Indiegogo.
Our launch range is comprised of 12 typographic, inspirational designs available as prints or laser engraved bamboo boards perfect for displaying on your wall. Our boards have a beautiful handfeel and are all produced from sustainably managed bamboo plantations by an FSC certified operator.
Ensuring our products are as good for the envirnoment as they are for our customers is key to us as is the ability to give back to the community as our brand builds. For this range we have partnered with a local charity called Ask! who support local individuals and families going through their breast cancer journey.
Product Details - Wall Art Bamboo Boards
Our boards are hand cut to a size of 230 x 400 x 20mm or approx 9 x 16 x 0.75 inches. Boards are then hand sanded to a smooth finish and hand painted before being laser etched. All boards have a routed keyhole in the reverse side making hanging on your wall a simple process. All boards are posted securely in cardboard packaging.
Product Details - Wall Art Prints
Our prints are printed on 220gsm uncoated premium stock in either A3 or A4 size. A3 dimensions are 420mm x 297mm or approx 16 x 12 inches. A4 dimensions are 297mm x 210mm or approx 12 x 8 inches. All prints are posted securely in postal tubes.
What we need and what's in it for you
We are aiming to raise $5000 to help in the purchase of required equipment to be able to produce all our products in house.
We have a range of support options starting at $35 for a randomly selected A3 print up to $1428 for a full set of 12 bamboo boards delivered anywhere in the world. Our boards are $120 each with no two boards being exactly the same due to the hand made process and natural fibres.
Please see below for a description of all options. If we are unable to reach our goal we will still produce all products for our supporters using other local businesses.

We feel that positive messages can have a significant effect on peoples lives and would be thrilled if our products can help our customers in a positive way.
The Lost Words comes from Kris's passion for typography and design where he has ten years experience in the industry combined with Lisa's passion for literacy and education being a primary teacher. We are proud to be able to combine our passions together into a product range that will positively benefit our customers.
We are also proud to be able to help local individuals and their families by partnering with Ask! We are looking to help many charities and organisations in the future as we work hard to build The Lost Words product range.
