I'm John Kenneth Wagner. I've been a professional photographer and independent film producer in Sacramento, CA. I started my career as a professional photographer in 1970 and established Wagner Media as an independent film company in 1992.
I've produced four feature-length films, including "The Cheapest Movie" in 2000 and "The Mafia Chronicles in 2010. "The Cheapest Movie" premiered in Sacramento at the Crest Theatre and was the subject of media interviews on CBS13, KXTV10 and KCRA3. It grossed nearly $5,000.00 in sales that were derived from the Crest Theatre premiere and VHS sales.
We are in the process of developing funding for the first two episodes of "The Lobbyist", which is a political drama set in Sacramento, the capitol of California. Once these two episodes have been completed, we intend to use them as part of a marketing campaign that will include screening these episodes for potential investors and advertisers.
"The Lobbyist" is an important project because it will provide income and exposure to both above and below the line artists in Sacramento.
The story is important in that as it evolves over 13-episodes, we discover the lives and loves of several of the main characters who lie, cheat, steal and, somehow, manage to survive.
Sacramento is rapidly becoming a vibrant and exciting community for independent film production. We feel that "The Lobbyist", with its cast of 25 of Sacramento best known actors, and a crew of very experienced and creative artists, will represent our community with a professional production that will be exciting to watch and support.
If you're not able to comtribute, that's OK. Just tell your friends, family, co-workers about this exciting project. And, remember to use the Indiegogo share tools!
