My name is Taylor and I am a filmmaker out of San Francisco State University. I work closely with my twin brother Grant, screenwriter Trevor Tillman, and my acting friends. We own a small production company called Future Human Productions and produce our own short films. This film serves as my senior thesis film at SFSU. If you like dark comedies, like we do, you'll love this one...
Together we wrote a short film about a self-proclaimed hero, Ben, who is a fan of comic books and who is also in love with his next door neighbor, Sharon. However, Sharon is an escort, and she abides by her gentlemen caller's fantasies. In this particular case, Sharon is asked to be apart of a staged abduction (we all have to make a living, right?), but Ben happens to witness it and vows to save Sharon. But, wait... she doesn't need saving. Or does she? You'll just have to find out if chaos ensues or resolution prevails (it's chaos).
-Cinematic & Lowlight capable lenses, which will run around $300
-Car/Van rental for the abduction scene, $80 per day.
-Costumes for Ben, Police Costume rental, and various escort outfits $200
-Food for 10 people for 3 days of shooting, ideally we'd need about $300 for this.
-Gas & transportation fare, which runs $150 for the whole shoot.
-Film Permit to allow a street closure $600 (This is the big one).
Myself, my brother, and close friends involved in this project have all worked together a numerous short films and videos. You can view them here:
