[Updated] Special Christmas Gift

The GURUPOP Show ‘Christmas Party’ will take place at 9PM on Dec. 21st! As a token of appreciation, we would like to send a special gift to a fan who has contributed the most in between Dec. 21st to 22nd(US EST).
The special gift will be one of the props that our guest stars have used during The GURUPOP Show EP1 ~ EP12. All of the props are autographed by the stars, who have used them, and the receiver of the gift can choose one. (ea. The receiver can choose one among MBLAQ’s white horse, ZE:A’s arrow, B.A.P’s flip-flop(the special weapon) and a sword, U-Kiss’ cushion, BTOB’s car, San E & Daniel’s globe, etc.)

What is GURUPOP?

We are GURUPOP, the one and only K-pop community for the international fans to meet and interact with the K-pop stars. We have launched our community on March, 2012 and have been rapidly growing since then. As of October, 2012, we have more than 400,000 visitors per month on our community. 

What have you done?

We have been focusing on providing interactive services between the fans and the stars.

We have a broad network of K-pop stars to collaborate with and have been providing interactive services such as Giveaway Events of the stars’ autographed goods, Fan Post Contests, Star Q&As and most importantly The GURUPOP Show.

Since August, we have invited the stars to our studio and provided the online live streaming show in English with real-time interpretation for our international fans, tired of waiting for the subtitles.

Moreover, during the show the K-pop stars were able to communicate with the fans in real-time through the real-time comments section on our site and the stars could even grant the fans’ wishes through the Make Your Wish’ section. We currently are about to finish our total 12 episodes of the show.

Why did you start this project?

For past couple months, making The GURUPOP Show to see you guys enjoying it was truly a wonderful experience for every single GURUPOP staff. We found our jobs truly meaningful because we knew you were there to enjoy the show. However, to be honest, producing a live streaming K-pop show by inviting the real celebrities is quite costly and it was not a sustainable form of service. Therefore, while we could have started The GURUPOP Show Season 2, we decided to have a special project before we start anything. That project was making the World’s 1st Crowd Funded K-pop Live Show, ‘The GURUPOP Show Special.’ 

We thought it would be wonderful both for the K-pop stars and the fans to have an episode fully funded and structured by our fans. We wanted to prepare a show where our fans can invite their favorite star to the show by gathering up. This is how we started to think of a crowd funding project for The GURUPOP Show Special.

How can we invite the stars?

Regardless of the amount, you can leave a comment on the contributing page. Please let us know the top 10 stars you want to invite to our show and your username using on GURUPOP.com(Please do not change your username! So, we can find you to send a 'Loyal Pledger Card' easily.).

We will take every single one of your list and make a complementary list.

Then We will contact the celebrities based on the list.

Although we can contact any K-pop stars available, please note that there always exists the schedule confilct risk so please understand that some stars may be too busy to be invited on our show. However, we will respect the invitation priority thoroughly as you are inviting the celebrities themselves.

Our Tokens of Appreciation

The Perks listed  are pure tokens of appreciation. They do not represent the value that you have contributed in our project. Your support is always far greater than the value of the perks. However, in order to show our sincere appreciation of your support, we have designed each perk with our best effort. We hope you enjoy them!

We wanted you to be part of our show naturally just by getting your perks for your contribution. 

Please note that for every perk, all of the perks above are included.

In other words, for $500 perk,  all of the perks listed above will also be delivered as a package. 

We will announce the Top 10 and Top 3 pledgers after the project is over.

* Private invitation to the studio during the show.

* Visit Korea, watch the show, meet the star, hang out with the GURUPOP admins.

* Private chatting & photo time with the star is included.

* A round-trip plane ticket and a hotel reservation is included.

Please note that every contributor above $5 needs to leave the GURUPOP username as a comment in order to receive a Limited Edition Loyal Pledger Card. 

As we proceed the project, we may have to limit the amount of the perks because many of them are directly related to the show. In that case, we will make an update and leave a proper notice about it on this page. Also, please note that the autographs on the posters may be imprinted as they are produced with the collaboration of the entertainment companies.

Our Bigger Dreams

The GURUPOP Show Special is just a first step to accomplish our big dream.

For the contributions beyond $50,000, we are going shoot additional episodes.

Furthermore, we dream of a project called 'Glbal GURUPOP Invitational.'

It is about visiting wherever our fans call for to have live showcases with the K-pop stars.

We want to challenge the status quo of the international K-pop fandom.

We want to connect the international fans with the K-pop stars ever closer.

We truly love K-pop and we love you, the K-pop fans.

We know that we are one big family in the name of 'K-POP.'
