Summary
The Church of Cupcakes is on a mission from God. (Thank you Blues Brothers!) This is not a tale of redemption though, but one of spreading cupcakes, sparkling sprinkles and general giddiness through the Mile High City.
We’ve been in our current location for almost 5 years and it is time to grow. It’s time to become Cupcake Missionaries, it’s time to go mobile but in a totally unique and eco-friendly way: a Cupcake Tricycle! You’re probably thinking: "Well, isn't that special?" The Church Lady certainly thinks so.
This isn’t your average tricycle, though it will have high handlebars with streamers and a bell! It’s being custom built by a Colorado owned (of course!) company and it will be able to hold 120 dozen of our small cupcakes. Yes, that’s right 1,440 buttercream blessed little cakes!
The Church Lady will send the Cupcake Missionaries out and about to tempt Denverites daily. It will also be available to hire for special events like birthday parties, corporate shindigs, galas, bar/bat mitzvahs, weddings, and any other celebration that would be improved by cupcakes (which would be everything, right?) And because we like to do good things with our cupcakes, it will also be available to help raise money for non-profit and charity organizations.
What We Need & What You Get
What we need: The base model for the cupcake tricycle is $3500. The interior shelving is $250. Cleanliness is next to Godliness so we must have a hand washing station on the trike and that is $125. Graphic design, vinyl wrap and other accessories (like the bell and streamers and a helmet) comes to $1500. (Plus the fees for running the campaign.) If we don’t reach our goal, any amount raised will be used towards the bike and the Church Lady might have to go back to earning money on Colfax the good, old fashioned way. ;)
What you get: Well, aside from our undying appreciation and the fun of getting a cupcake tricycle on the road, we’ve come up with several different levels of rewards for helping the Church of Cupcakes. Please look at the next section for details!
The Impact
The impact of having a Cupcake Tricycle would be just plain awesome: more cupcakes and more fun! And since we keep it local, the financial impact will be fabulous too from our new staff to more and bigger orders with our suppliers who sell us the most delicious organic, sustainable and humane ingredients.
