Hi, I’m Kelly Kemp, one of the producers of “The Boogeyman”.  My team and I are very excited to have the opportunity to be making this short film.  Let me tell you why.  Our short film is based on the short story written by Stephen King, “The Boogeyman”.  We received rights to adapt the short story into a screenplay through the Dollarbaby Program which gives rights to students and up in coming film makers for only one dollar.  The program was designed to give film makers a platform to exhibit their work through festivals to gain recognition in the industry.  We want to build a quality piece of work, and the only way to do that is with a little bit of funding.  So we need your help!

As the producer of this project, it is my job to make the budget and make sure we stick to it.  It’s definitely not easy to make a film the right way, but with funding we will have the tools we need to get the job done right.  We are only asking for the minimum amount it will take us to complete our film.  This will include actor salaries, crew wages, craft services and meals while on set, art and costume design, as well as all the EFX make up to give you the intense Boogeyman reveal. 

By investing in this project, you will not only receive credit for doing so, but we are required to send a copy of our film to Stephen King himself.  Every dollar donated here will be personally thanked in the credits so Stephen King will know you help make his work come to life.  We owe it to Mr. King’s legacy to make the best film possible and we have put together an amazing team to do so.  With a little help from you we can not only make our dreams come true, but we can honor Mr. King’s work as well.
