As disappointed as I am that we did not reach our goal of $125,000, I am incredibly proud that we made it to $41,025 in just 45 days. I could not have pulled this off without your generous support.

Creating something, unveiling it to the world, and accepting both the praise and criticism that come with this is at once terrifying and exhilarating. I’m so very grateful to have had you along for the ride.

In true entrepreneurial fashion, this is not the end of the road for the Bonsai. We continue to explore other avenues to bring our product to life and will keep you updated. When we do make it to our first production run, I can promise that you will be the first to know.

As part of our marketing strategy, we’re rolling out a few videos demonstrating the different use cases of the Bonsai. The first one is launching today, and I want to give you a first look as a small “thank you” for your support up to this point.

Happy 2013! Wishing you all the best in the new year. We’re past the 20% mark and building momentum for the big push to January 31!

UPDATE: We’ve just added a NEW REWARD LEVEL. For $49, we’ll ship a Bonsai to any active/retired U.S. Military personnel. This is in response to several inquiries from servicemen and women in Afghanistan, as well as other foreign and domestic military bases. As it turns out, the Bonsai would be particularly useful in places where water is scarce.

“Doing good” is at the core of this project, so why not start now? If anyone deserves a great shave, it’s the men and women who protect us.

We can ship to all U.S. Military bases (domestic AND abroad) and will re-confirm shipping addresses in July, as personnel do move around. If sending as a care package, please make a note of this in your message!
