The Bethlehem Children’s School is an independent school for children age three through eighth grade established in 1995 to provide a positive learning experiences for children. The idea behind our school is that children want to learn, and can do so best in a cooperative multi-age environment, with little stress, more attention from a teacher, and where inquiry-based learning is determined by a child's developmental readiness; the idea is that an initial nurturing educational environment fosters the development of a genuine, life-long passion for learning. The idea also includes the notion of being green - and where each child is encouraged to be a steward of the planet - not just our small corner of the Capital Region of New York State.
Our school has just launched an ambitious capital campaign, and if the ideas that provide our school its foundation resonate with you, we welcome your support. Our capital campaign is designed to secure the school's future for many years to come. We have set a very ambitious target of $325,000 to accomplish all that is needed, and to ensure that The Bethlehem Children’s School will be able to continue and grow. Through the help of supporters like you, we hope to raise $75,000 of that goal.
We need you. Your support now is vital to our continued existence - both as an idea and as a physical entity. The past few years have been tough on any number of independent schools and nonprofits. Your commitment to The Bethlehem Children's School will allow us – literally - to go on. The security you can provide by your gift to the school will be felt for years to come.
