My name is Drue Pennella and I am co-owner and operator of Pure Motion Pictures based in Northern New Jersey. After filmmaking, probably my biggest passion is motorcycles. I’m a sucker for vintage British bikes and have come to hold a special place in my heart for the brand Royal Enfield. One of the things I love about motorcycles is that they bring people together. I have been very fortunate in the past few years to become good friends with fellow lover of Enfields and creator of “The Badger”, Leon Stanley.
Often the people who connect over the love of motorcycles end up going on great adventures together. "The Badger - Made in Trenton. One Bike. One Month. Three Races." is that next adventure. Over the course of the coming month I will direct a short documentary of this unlikely underdog race project. Can someone through grit and determination take a humble Royal Enfield from street to track; chasing racing glory in three different racing disciplines? That’s what we are going to find out!
We are going to be following Badger Corse first on September 22, for the road racing WERA round at Summit Point, West Virginia. The following weekend, September 29-30, will find us in Ohio at the Ohio MIle for speed trials. Then on October 21, it's off to the Badger's final challenge in Cuddybackville, New York for some flat track action.
We want you to be there with us, trackside, sharing in the excitement and cheering The Badger on! As filmmakers we are committed to making this film as a labor of love, but we simply cannot complete this film without your help. We are not looking to make money on this film. We simply want to share this great story with the rest of the world and make it the best it can be.
We need at least $7200 to break even for production costs. Your contributions will go towards getting us and our gear to and from the track, food, accommodations, hiring crew and post production expenses. We will run a tight ship but the more we raise, the better the film will be.
Our campaign will be running up to the start of the final race. That way we can share with you the experiences as they happen. We don’t think people really want DVDs anymore. Instead you will be able to screen the film before anyone on-line and participate in creating this unique Badger community via video updates straight from the track.

We believe there is a much larger story here that deserves to be told. Perhaps Theodore Roosevelt said it best:

The credit belongs to the man who is actually in the arena, whose face is marred by dust and sweat and blood, who strives valiantly, who errs and comes up short again and again, because there is no effort without error or shortcoming, but who knows the great enthusiasms, the great devotions, who spends himself for a worthy cause; who, at the best, knows, in the end, the triumph of high achievement, and who, at the worst, if he fails, at least he fails while daring greatly, so that his place shall never be with those cold and timid souls who knew neither victory nor defeat."
