UPDATE: We want to give a big THANK YOU to all of our donors who contributed to our indiegogo campaign for "The Alembic!" Now that we've met our initial goal, we can move on to stretch goals! Our next project will be a music video for our last show of the 2012 season, "In the Observarium," a chilling, live version of stories similar to those depicted in "Night Gallery," and "The Twilight Zone," but with all of those delightful and unsettling Victorian aesthetics that we love so much. One last contribution can really push us forward into the black for this project, and beyond!
Thank you for visiting Terra Mysterium’s Indiegogo page supporting our new show “The Alembic.” We are a four-year old theatre troupe producing original works rooted in mythology, Earth mysteries, and positive transformation of the human condition.
This is a tough time for young arts organizations. Most new theatre companies discontinue their work after three years. We’ve pushed past that barrier, and have an amazing piece of musical theatre to share with the world, but we need your help.
For the past three years, Terra Mysterium company members have purchased and made their own properties, costumes, and sets. We are now entering into a new phase in our development by producing works that are intended for touring and repeat performances on the road. This requires hiring professionals with experience to create sets, costumes, and properties meant to last a lifetime in order to give our audiences theatrical experiences they will remember.

Should we not reach our goal, we are already committed to producing “The Alembic” at this year’s Chicago Fringe Festival, and we will open on Friday August, 31st at 7pm. We just might have to open without a set and in our underwear if you can’t help us. *grin* (And believe me, a Steampunk musical without costumes, set, or properties isn’t theatre we intend for you to see.)
The Impact
Terra Mysterium has grown in leaps and bounds beyond our first production in April of 2008. We’ve touched people’s lives through our original songs, stories, and ritual theatre creations. We’ve played at festivals around the Midwest, and deeply desire to widen that circle internationally in the next five years. We are modern-day players reminding people of the sacred in the world around them and of the power of positive transformation. You can help us to carry these stories into the wider world.
Other Ways You Can Help
We know that not everyone is in a position to make a donation at this time. However, can you get word out about our campaign to your friends? Please use the Indiegogo share tools, share our promotional videos and photos, and come see the show!
