The Track and Field Athletes Association is proud to announce a partnership with the Bay Area Track Club's Bay Area Cross Challenge on January 13th, 2013, and is seeking donations and sponsorships for the BATC Kids Program, as we'll be hosting an event with the help of professional runners to promote the sport to the area youth, to be held in conjunction with the BAXC meet. The Bay Area Cross Challenge is a unique opportunity for runners of all ability levels to compete alongside professional distance runners on a cross country course in the heart of San Francisco. After the race, enjoy post-race food, prizes, and music as you meet and mingle with Olympians and world-class athletes.
For more information on the meet, please visit: http://www.bayareatrackclub.com/page/BAXC-2013.

The BATC Kids Program is a new athletic program designed to get kids outside and active after school. With the help of the Bay Area Track Club (BATC) there are local Olympians and Olympic hopefuls to play, teach, and lead the kids each week. The program is open to all ages and skill levels and its mission is to inspire kids to develop a healthy body and mind. Kids will learn how exercise and practice can help all ages to improve skills such as speed, agility, coordination, strength, and flexibility, all while having plenty of fun.
We invite you to watch the video of the BATC Kids Program at the Yick Wo Elementary School, providing a glimpse in to the mission of the BATC Kids Program and the impact it has on area youth. We are looking to raise at least $10,000 for the event. Please consider making a donation, or please contact the TFAA's Marketing & Special Events Coordinator Jenny Scherer if you are interested in becoming a sponsor and/or matching donations coming in for the event.
Please help us get the word out about this campaign and event! Share our cause with family and friends, and why not join us on Sunday, January 13th? We hope to see you there!
