What is HvZ?
Humans vs. Zombies is a game of tag normally played on college campuses. Participants are required to wear a bright green bandana around their arm or on their head to identify them as being part of the game and to differentiate whether they are human or zombie. Participants start as humans and defend themselves from zombie players using foam dart blasters (Nerf, Air Zone, etc.) or socks to “stun” them. Once tagged a human player becomes a zombie; thus creating a fight for human survival (or zombie domination) for the duration of gameplay.
Due to the limited space available for this event, registration is limited to 120 participants.

Why We Need You!
As a Student Organization attempting to run our first invitational event, we need to secure funding for the event in advance to ensure that we can get this event off the ground! You can help us make this possible by registering to play or donating funds towards the event.
Why are we crowdfunding this event through IndieGoGo and using it for registration and reserving player accommodations?
- It protects you. If we don't make the funding goal needed to run this event, the money is immediately returned to you.
- It protects us. It ensures that we have the minimum funding needed to run this event, so we don't have to worry about refunding everyone their money or dealing with additional fees or financial losses. It also allows us to make sure we have the money needed to pay for the event ahead of time.
- IndieGoGo allows us to set the exact number of spots available for each type of accommodation so it will only accept payment for the space that we have.
Donations will help us to pay for:
- Camp fees and deposits.
- Deposits and payments for events.
- Building costs of game props and other key pieces for use in the game’s storyline.
This is a fixed funding campaign, if we do not reach our goal, all money will be returned to registrants and the event will be canceled. Help us out!
You can also submit donations via the $5 “Helping Out Anyway I Can” option on the right. Please do not submit donations via the accommodations options (unless you are planning to attend) as that will register you as a player for the weekend and a registration spot will be removed unnecessarily.
To register to attend the event, select your preferred accommodations for the event under the “Perks” headline at the right side of the page and submit your payment information. The three options are to bring your own tent, stay in a platform tent, or stay in a screened in cabin.
We have accomodations for 100 players available on site, and can accomodate a maximum of 120 players total. If our accomodations are full and/or you would like to stay off-site, you must contact us through out website to make sure you are properly registered in our system. This will be first come, first serve.
*Note: All players must register wether they are onsite or offsite (if you are going to stay offsite, once you email us, we will confirm your registration, do not register on indiegogo). All players staying offsite will need to leave the property by 8pm each night. See the website for more information.
The $5 option does not reserve anything for the weekend and is only for charitable donations. If you would like to donate more, but will be unable to attend, please shoot us an email and we will be glad to work with you on some "sponsor" benefits.
Elgible Players: For our first year, players are required to be 18+ years of age and enrolled at a university (however, if you are not a current student, please contact us and we can make some exceptions if space allows).
Other Ways You Can Help
We understand that not everyone can make it out to this years invitational, however, if you are interested in helping us out monetary wise, we are always looking for people to help us spread the word so that we can continue to throw events each semester.
We thank you all so much for your help in making this amazing event happen!
