RISKS AND CHALLENGES:

In it's current prototype form, the TekTuk is fully functional and extremely useful. The prototypes you are seeing are real, and are the outcome of 6 different iterations; from cardboard and paper, to totally wrong pieces, to the current awesome pre-production product. However, each of them is made by an arduous process involving a lot of handwork. One of the main challenges is to make sure that the final mass produced product is as awesome as the pre-production prototype. In order to make sure that this happens, I will be present during the first week of production; overseeing everything from production, to packaging, to shipping.

I've been working closely with and have developed a trusting professional relationship with a manufacturer that I have complete confidence in - a company that I am sure can and will deliver a high quality final product.

Of course, as with any product, unanticipated delays are possible. While meeting deadlines are important, I feel that delivering a product that is of the best quality possible is THE most important thing; and that is what we will strive to achieve.

This is not the first product I have designed and produced. In 2001, I patented and mass produced a storage steel upright cap that was tested in warehouses and proved to save thousands of dollars in damages from product snagging and tearing. Given my past experience in designing and implementing a new product, I am confident that we will make the TekTuk a reality.
