I first noticed a lump on Taz's lower neck in June, several weeks shy of her fourth birthday. A few days later, I took her to the local ABC Vetenarian Hospital who confirmed the worst, she had been diagnosed with canine lymphoma. The oncologist told me this type of cancer has no cure and left untreated, would quickly claim my dog's life.
Chemotherapy for canine lymphoma consists of a 12-week, five drug cyclic protocol, or induction protocol for short, followed by maintenance drugs given every third week. Estimated cost is in the $3-4,000 range. I currently have $1,500 in my life savings, being a full time college student and only having a part-time job it is hard to save. This money was going to go towards a car, but my dog is worth more to me than any car ever could be.
I would do anything to save this my dog and I heard about this site and am asking anyone to help, every little bit counts and am hoping there is someone out there that can head my call.
