Hello! We are Robert Selander and Sean Hart. We have been making comedy videos and performing in comedy shows in Los Angeles together for four years. Our main project is the comedy band Tartar Control, a punk rock band featuring two mormon missionaries and a talking robot. As Tartar Control, we've made videos, performed concerts throughout California, and made friends in the music, comedy and film production worlds.
We're making an episodic comedy about Tartar Control. The show will feature music videos, numerous characters and elements of sketch comedy, like Tenacious D, Flight of The Concords or Mr. Show.
Over the years, we've made thousands of people genuinely happy and excited. Anyone who contributes will be helping us spread that joy to everyone on the planet with a computer or TV!
What We Need & What You Get
We need $5000 to make the pilot episode. The money is going into production costs:
Director of Photography: $750 Sound: $750 Craft Services: $400 Gaffer: $350 Grip:$300
Green Screen Studio Rental: $1500
Props and Costumes: $300
We already have a camera and both of us are expert video editors.
As compensation for your donations, we are giving away Tartar Control merchandise (patches, stickers, buttons, t-shirts, autographed albums) as well as special items and perks that are unique to this project (a part in the pilot, a secret song and even private concerts).
Our shoot dates are: June 16th, 17th and 18th
Since starting Tartar Control, we have received an amazing response from both the comedy and music communities in California. We've always made a positive impact on every audience we've played for. We have been working in video production for over ten years and have the skills as well as the connections to make a polished, professional product. We think that, given the chance, we could make comedy, music and television history with this project.
