Sweet Fever - First Season Finale

Okay what is this?
This is two filmmakers looking for funds to film an action packed, hilarious resolution to the first season of a silly, saucy webseries called Sweet Fever. It's about a woman trying to save her candy store from going out of business by fighting her way to the top of a professional pillow-fighting federation a sack of prize money! The finale features her big try-out fight as well as the resolution of story threads that develop over the first five episodes, which you can watch at www.sweetfever.tv or over in the Gallery tab.

 

Mark Zanin and Oliver Brackenbury are a director/writer team who've worked together for six years now, most recently producing the first five episodes of Sweet Fever as well as two comedic short films ("Eggs" and "Shawn"). Finishing the first season of Sweet Fever would make a big difference in their respective careers for which they'd be eternally grateful.

It'll also dramatically increase their ability to get corporate level funding for a crazier, longer second season on the web or even a TV deal, either of which would mean more great entertainment for you!

 

• Renting equipment like lights, a jib arm for dramatic camera moves and other items that will help us push the quality of the series even higher.
• A rental truck to heft everything around in.
• Feeding our marvelous volunteer cast & crew.

Filming will take place in early January when we won't be competing with bigger Toronto productions, like the Robocop remake, for equipment and crew. Our estimate is that it'll take three days to film and then, ideally, we'll have the episode edited and online for everyone to enjoy a couple of weeks after that.

Some rewards, like video thank-yous, will start being sent out right after funding is achieved. Others, like the DVD and the episode six script, will come hot on the heels of our finishing episode six.

If we make the comic book stretch goal then writing and drawing will begin then as well, with a rough goal of getting the comic sent out by the end of the year and certainly no later then when the big finale goes online.
