Our Story

Hello everyone ! Im Sandbox India ambassador and an Indian entrepreneur following a vision of integrating "creative economy" in the development of India by Sulochana Development Trust, which supports Creative Arts & Design for social impact. Coming from a multi disciplinary background and experience, I have gravitated from creative arts, fashion, inter disciplinary design to retail, branding, strategy and social entrepreneurship giving me a holistic approach to what I do and its impact.

Im currently raising funds to attend our first Sandbox Global Summit 2012 in Lisbon. Representing India and the Asian region, my attendance to this summit is seen as a valuable addition bringing a unique regional perspective to an eclectic mix of young achievers and innovators at the Summit. As a social entrepreneur, I have no funds to travel and bear expenses for this summit, which is why I would need your invaluable support !


The Impact

The impact of my presence and similar Asian sandboxers presence at the summit:

-          The global community consists of 4 main regions, Europe, U.S., Asia & Africa where the interaction amongst sandboxers from US and Europe has been active and lesser with the Asian & African region. This summit can truly be global in spirit and action if we have a balanced representation of Asian and African sandboxers who can manage to attend this summit in Europe.

-          We could add great value to the Content of Global Summit - to highlight the shift in relevance and importance of Asian countries influencing the global economy and development.

-          Complete the personal journey of online interactions with fellow sandbox friends to offline/ in person interactions that seals our bond amongst this trusted community.

-          Contribute my experiences, insights, notes from my area of interest. I would like to broadly contribute to the summit in three areas :

1.       Social Entrepreneurship 

2.       Creative economy, Design Industry and Retail 

3.       Cultural Sector

What do I seek in return from this summit ?

-          Exchanges insights, experiences, ideas.

-          Opportunities, ideas, connections to add value to my current charitable trust and social projects.

-          Meeting my fellow Sandboxer friends.


What We Need & What You Get

Funds allocation :

  1. Travel: flight tickets and Visa - $ 1200 + $ 150
  2. Sandbox Global Summit Ticket - $ 400
  3. Stay & Miscellaneous expenses - $ 450
  4. Taxes, Exchange rate & Campaign charges - $ 150  

Total amount for the Summit: $ 2,350   

I have personally gathered $ 350 as part of funds for the Global Summit.
