In 2002 I lived in KwaZulu-Natal South Africa, working at a foster care centre called God’s Golden Acre. It was there that I met a remarkable young man by the name of Menzi Zulu. Menzi came from the Valley of a Thousand Hills, and with his brother Kwanele and sister Zinhle, he exhibited the most incredible got-getter spirit and passion to succeed academically.
Ten years later, Menzi has been the most incredible steward of every gift he has been given, excelling at high school in Pietermaritzburg, KwaZulu-Natal. Now he would love the opportunity to continue his education and go to University. For years, a generous man from the UK supported Menzi, but in 2013, his support will have to come to an end due to his family situation.
For my 30th birthday, I want nothing more than for Menzi to have the opportunity to go to University. Please join me in helping one awesome young man realize his dreams.
Expenses for Menzi's 2-year University program at the University of Kwa-Zulu Natal come to $16802.
