An Update
Amanda's incredible family and friends exceeded the set goal of $2,000 within the first twelve hours that this campaign was set up! We are all indescribably grateful and touched. With that said, it has now become our stretch goal to raise $5,000 for the Urquiza family. Thank you all so much.
Amanda's Story
Hello! Thank you for taking the time to read Amanda's story.
On December 19, 2012, 21-year-old Amanda Urquiza was severely injured in a car accident on the I-10 in Phoenix. She sustained many injuries, the most severe of which is a broken neck.
Amanda is a beautiful, smart young woman who is loved by many. She can be counted on to make you smile. Amanda has a passion for art and space, and is very involved in her SEDS chapter at the University of Arizona. As part of her involvement with SEDS, Amanda has the incredible opportunity to experience zero gravity next summer, and it has become her goal to recover in time for this experience.
Amanda now faces a long road to recovery and her family faces mounting medical expenses.
Our goal is to raise funds that will assist the Urquiza family in paying medical bills so that they may focus on their daughter's recovery.
The Impact
Any contribution will make an impact in the lives of the very strong Urquiza family. Amanda is a tough woman with a bright future ahead of her.
