This one's gonna be hot.
Max Retik and Tyler Corsello here, on behalf of our work-in-progress short film, entited "Super."
The film follows Daniel, a boy with a special set of skills. Unlike most people, he's got superpowers. And unlike most superheroes, he hasn't got the foggiest idea what to do with them. The film deals with Daniel's inner conflict of self-validation, while exploring what it means to truly be a hero.
The film is fast paced and entertaining, while maintaining a deep and meaningful theme throughout.
Let's talk about us for a moment.
Max Retik and Tyler Corsello have been making movies together for a long time. Recently, their short film submission "In Plain Sight" (http://cargocollective.com/maxretik/In-Plain-Sight), placed in a local film festival, winning an award. Now they're back and more ambitious than ever, with high hopes for their new short film idea.
Max Retik studies film, taking classes in high school and over the summer.
The two are currently enrolled in a New York film program on a scolarship, won because of their short film "In Plain Sight."
Why we need your help.
We don't have enough money to produce this film to the best of its potential. Without your help, we may end up waiting years for another chance to make this project. That's where you come in. Your contributions go directly to:
- Renting expensive camera equiptment, like
- A Redrock cinema rig
- Kessler crane system
- A boompole
- One or two various other lenses (ie: A 14mm and a zoom lens)
Costumes and Makeup for the actors
- Various other production costs (ie: possible film festival entry fees)
Your donations count! (We promise.)
As we said, even the smallest amount counts. And for what it's worth, some of the perks are pretty damn cool. (Including a special behind the scenes video, and directors' commentary, exclusive to donors only!)
If not all else, the movie is going to be fantastic. If you're as excited to see it as we are, help us out. It's like paying to go see a movie! (Except without the 3D glasses that make people nausiated sometimes...)
Other Ways You Can Help.
If you really can't spare us a dime, that's alright too.
- Sharing this campaign helps us in many ways.
- The more people that see, the more likely we are to get donors.
- The more awareness we get, the more people will want to see the film.
- The more people that see the film, the better use the donors' money is being put to.
See? It all works out. So help us out. Please. Indiegogo is packed with plenty of sharing tools. Just take the time to use one or two, and we'll do fine.
Thanks for your time.
Our success can be your success too.
