Hey guys, it's Streetlight Fire. After two years as a band, two EPs, and many, many shows, we have decided to take the next step and record our first full-length album. We've spent the last few months intensively writing and demoing songs and planning out the future. The demos we have so far sound awesome and are clearly our best material yet. We're working super hard to craft these songs into the absolute best we can. We are crafting every song to ooze the passion and quality that we feel from our favorite records. However recording costs a lot of money, and we'd greatly appreciate it if you guys can help us make our dream of making this record come true.

We're going to be fully transparent with you guys regarding where every dollar is going. We've always been pretty astute in the past with recording; where many bands will spend any where from $5,000-$10,000 on a full-length, we only spent $600 on our 9 song record, Architects. We did that album in 4 days. However it was only afterward that we realized that most bands took longer and spent more, but we were happy with the album and wouldn't have done it any other way.

The recording of the as-yet-untitled full-length which we plan to start recording in September will cost us over $1500. We've looked at a handful of producers and studios in that price range, but we haven't decided on one yet, but the price is definite. Pressing CDs and getting our music up on iTunes and Spotify will cost us $1000. There are some other expenses that we'll have when it comes to the record; printing merchandise and touring expenses, but we think we can afford that ourselves. If we do raise more than our target amount, we will put all that money back into the band.
