Stephanie Zaletel and Jordan Saenz met 5 years ago at California Institute of the Arts. They immediately felt connected by a similar spirit, sensitivity, and edge. Their passion for music and movement led to numerous successful artistic collaborations. Stephanie and Jordan have danced together, lived together, traveled together, but never set a show together. This performance will be their first choreographic collaborative effort since graduating.
"Sto Jo Show" features collaborative efforts by:
Steven Van Betten
"Sto Jo Sho" will be a series of four pieces (two from each choreographer) melding worlds of live/recorded music, room/audience manipulation, articulate physicality, and thematic references to trauma to explore a deeper sense of friendship, and growth.

Professional-level performance art is essential in every community. It encourages creative thinking and imagination. We believe that it also plays an important role in mental health and happiness. Compensating artists (especially young emerging ones) validates their effort and creates worth beyond the intrinsic value of the art itself.
Your support is greatly appreciated!
Humans share the same anatomy, yet each of us experiences the world differently. This is especially evident in the arts. Exposing an audience to creativity through music and dance allows for a non-verbal exchange of information. Ideas, emotions, and memories are intangible entities that can be communicated through live art. From a common experience (the performance) different interpretations may emerge for the performers and the audience. However, mutual participation in the event creates a connection. It reminds us that we are all relatable, complex, and beautiful.
WITH YOUR HELP, WE CAN MAKE ART HAPPEN!
Love and Thanks,
