Excellent reproduction; blacks are black, lines are sharp. . . I’m always super-worried until I squint at the reproduction quality; there are a lot of things which can go wrong, (many of which are only visible to the trained eye, but still. . .) These turned out perfectly! What a relief!

Also, these panels are all double the size and twice the sharpness as they appear in their original incarnation in the Grapevine. This book is designed to spoil the reader!

A good, thick comic book. People will be getting their money’s worth!

Hey, hey! The new Stardrop Book has arrived! (The overnight shipped box, anyway. The big shipment rolls into my driveway in a few days.)

They look GREAT! I’m blown away by the cover brightness and feel; The interiors are sharp as a knife, great reproduction quality. Good feel. Nice weight. No warping in the paper. Friesens Printing did an outstanding job on their very first comic book project. I hope they’re proud of the result, because I sure am! (There are so many things which can go wrong on a print job, and my heart is always in my throat when these things arrive. I let out a huge sigh of relief as I inspected the book!)

My life over the next couple of weeks is all going to be about order fulfillment. There are a lot of sketches and signatures to draw, packages to assemble and label, and treks to the post office to be made.

The real work doesn’t start until the main shipment arrives; I don’t want people to champ at the bit just yet since there aren’t enough copies in this sample box for everybody, and many of the books going out need to be given individual attention wrt sketches and such first, so please don’t expect a package in the mail for another couple of weeks.

But stay tuned; your books are on the way!

Okay. The New Stardrop GN shipping date has been confirmed.

They will arrive by April 17th

HOWEVER, the production manager at the printing plant was apologetic and will be shipping off a single rush box (at no charge) which is due to arrive on my doorstep on the 11th. So I’ll have a few copies to work with. There won’t be enough for everybody, so I’ll probably get working on making the color sketches and ship them off to those of you who picked the more expensive perk packages as well as to a few people around town who will be leaving Canada shortly, (though I know I’ll have missed a couple of people by then —There are a number of international students who came to Wolfville’s Acadia University from far away to study).

In any case, this sort of delay is by no means uncommon in the printing biz, so none of it comes as a shock. Just a another 12 days of waiting.

I’ll keep everybody posted!
