Staand Up Desk is a simple and affordable alternative to replacing your current workstation with a desk that allows you to stand up and work. Your options have been:

How practical are those?
Staand Up Desk is a set of modern, lightweight beech wood risers (prototypes shown in poplar, the beech wood with 2x lacquer finish is nicer) for your keyboard and monitor that allow you to quickly and easily move from sitting in front of your computer to standing and working in less than a minute.
Put your keyboard and mouse on the keyboard riser and you are ready to work standing up.
When you want to sit down, move the keyboard and mouse back to your desk move the keyboard riser out of the way and resume your work sitting down. It's easy!
The risers come in three different heights for short, average height and tall people.
Additionally, the monitor riser is wide enough to move your keyboard under, allowing you to free up workspace on your desk when needed and making it pretty awesome on its own.

Why would you want to work standing up? Researchers are telling us that a sedentary lifestyle, including sitting for long periods of time is killing us. They have even called sitting the new smoking. Numerous studies indicate that heart disease, diabetes, and obesity rates are doubled or even tripled for individuals who spend a significant amount of time sitting down and even regular moderate to vigorous exercise does not counteract the damage.

By standing instead of sitting at work you can burn an extra 60 calories an hour, improve your HDL (good cholesterol) levels and lower your risk of heart disease, diabetes, and obesity.
You should take a break from sitting every 20 minutes. Lipase is an enzyme that promotes the processing of fats and cholesterol; it moves fat into muscle tissue where it is burned for energy instead of being stored in other tissues as body fat. After about 20 minutes of sitting down lipase circulation is practically shut off. Just by standing you can naturally activate lipase and promote fat burning.

The Proper Way to Stand & Work:
Tighten your core / abdominal muscles
Stand up tall through your spine
Slightly tuck your pelvis forward
Bend your knees a little bit
Relax and drop your shoulders towards the floor
Relax your head and neck
Shift around side to side and sit down as needed, just never for too long
And don't forget to breathe.
