Thank you All so very much for all your support and words of encouragement. We believe we can complete this film and we have all come so very far. To make a donation and for updates please visit our website:
The United Nations estimates that 5,000 women are killed each year in the claim of having dishonored their families.
Sound of Tears is a short film of parmount importance that will raise awareness on honour-based crimes and violence against women.
The story itself is about a young woman trapped in a forced marriage. She must heed an admontion and reliquish a forbidden love. It is a matter of family honour.
WE NEED YOUR HELP TO GET THIS FILM FINISHED!
Filming was completed at the end of September however, we need the funds raised in this campaign for post - production and distribution.
The post - production process of filmmaking is a very expensive and time-consuming one. An experienced team is necessary to make sure that the story, (and this cause) comes through in the strongest way possible. At the minimum, we require an editor, colourist, sound designer, music composer and graphic designer to get this film finished.
Once this post - production phase is completed, the next step will be to get this out to as many film festivals as possible, and eventually onto the online platforms and classrooms, another costly process.
We need your help to make this the most important film possible and bring this issue out of the shadows and into our conversations.
Please donate now - even the smallest contribution is appreciated. See the reward section for all the ways we are showing our gratitude!
THE CAUSE IS PARAMOUNT!
The United Nations estimates that 5,000 women are killed each year in the claim of having dishonoured their families
In the UK alone last year, the police reported 2,823 honour crimes. That's nearly eight a day.
Thousand of honour based crimes remain unheard of as they are never reported. The cries of thousands of murdered women lie silent in graves.
By supporting this film you are joining the fight against honour based violence and crimes against women.
Don't let this cause of any of the women who have suffered go unnoticed.
