Who is Global Forces?
Founded in 2011 by Kerstin Recker Alexandre, Bonnie Hu, and Rob Frank, Global Forces is a non-profit organization fighting energy poverty by providing sustainable, renewable energy solutions to local communities in developing countries.
Global Forces’ mission is to generate sustainable opportunities through energy investments to help reduce energy poverty in developing countries through solar donations and micro lending programs for aspiring women business owners. What Are We Doing?
In July, Pat Recker, (59), a resident of Iowa, and father of Global Forces co-founder Kerstin Recker, biked in RAGBRAI, the Iowa register’s annual bicycle tour covering 480 miles!!!
This October, members of the Global Forces team will complete the Miami Beach Halloween half marathon. Combined, their efforts will raise money and awareness for renewable energy solutions in developing countries.
Global Forces' first initiative, Solar for Students, seeks to provide solar lanterns and school supplies to thirty elementary and middle school-aged students in the poorest neighborhoods of Arusha, Tanzania.
