What is SmartMatch?
SmartMatch is a conceptual business project we developed for the the Design MFA program at the California College of the Arts, in San Francisco, CA.
Finding a business partner is a huge decision and far too often the business relationship is rushed into and not well considered. What if there was a service that automatically matched you with the potential business partners you were most compatible with?
Who is SmartMatch?
Faith (morale boosting / strategizing / illustrating) is an industrial designer from Taipei, Taiwan with a knack for drawing characters. Her favorite food is beef noodle soup.
Hongsun (researching / archiving / visual designing) is 2D designer from Seoul, Korea with a great laugh. Hongsun is not impressed by rollercoasters.
Mark (number calculating / strategizing / visual designing) is an electrical engineer turned designer from Kaohsiung, Taiwan. Mark is really good at making coding look easy.
Rachel (project managing / quality checking / visual designing) is a graphic designer turned interaction designer from California with affinity for writing secret codes. Her favorite flavor of ice cream is mint-chocolate-chip.
This project gives us the opportunity to glimpse of the amount of work, dedication, and drive it takes to build a company from an idea.
We are competing directly with the other teams in our Business of Design class to see who can raise the most money and votes through their IndieGoGo campaign.
With your support we will prove the viability of our concept to our fellow classmates and to ourselves.
What We Need & What You Get
We need your vote!
Help us raise our goal of $500 by donating a suggested amount of $1. Each individual who makes a $1 contribution is casting their vote for our project. As thanks, you will receive acknowledgment on our Facebook page and in our final presentation. If you donate AND share our page on YOUR Facebook profile, we will send you an illustrated version of your proflie picture, custom created by one of us!
It does not matter how much money or how often an individual donates, it will only count as one vote ($20 from one person does not count as 20 votes). The profits raised by our class will go to the non-profit organization Architecture for Humanity.
