Send Titanium Sporkestra to Austin

Help Titanium Sporkestra return to HONK!tx in Austin this March by donating to our travel fund.

Titanium Spokestra is a rebel performance-art marching band from Seattle, Wa.

This March, we are setting out to travel to HONK!tx in Austin. HONK! is a a festival to celebrate the growing nationwide community of activist marching bands and the community-rooted union of art, activism, and music. This will be our second year traveling to Texas and we are very excited to play our music for friends new & old.

Titanium Sporkestra has been lurking on the outskirts of Seattle's music and performance art scene for 5 years. In that time we have won the 2010 Marching Band Battle of the Bands at Burning Man. Won the Seattle Tomato Battle of the Bands. Toured to San Francisco, Austin, Boston, Providence, New York and more. In 2012, Titanium Sporkestra is ratcheting up their game with a return to Texas next month, New York in our sights, and Europe waiting in the wings...the years of lurking in the shadows are over. Give it up, for Titanium Sporkestra!

This fundraising campaign is important to us because a band of this size (16+) is very difficult to travel with, and requires a higher operating budget than a four piece rock band. If we are able to raise this $1500 it will go towards airline tickets and luggage fees (sousaphones are huge). Without your generous donation, the band would go broke right before our busy summer season, making the sustainability of the group nearly impossible.

We are asking for $1500 from online donations and seeking an additional $1500 though other sources. Your donations will go towards covering the cost of airline tickets, ground transportation, and the general costs of running a band this size while on the road.

Please help spread the word about our cause. We will be fundraising on the street in Seattle in the coming weeks and throwing a party on March 3rd in Seattle as well. Take a look at www.TitaniumSporkestra.com to see how else you can help.
