While GRAY STATE may be a narrative feature film, part of the film effort has been to reveal the world in which the movie takes place... which is not a far reach from the world we live in now. The Gray State team has been conducting interviews and compiling footage, both originally captured and from We Are Change political archives, to elaborate on the answer to the question... What is the Gray State?

Who is on the Team?

The Gray State team includes David Crowley (writer/director), Danny Mason (concept/researcher/ actor), and Mitch Heil (DP/producer), all of whom have been hard at work for almost two years documenting the systematic destruction of our republic at the hands of globalist and corporate interests. Added to the team will be Sean Wright of MN We Are Change, a very accomplished independent journalist, who will help us to confront the politicians on their participation in (or resistance to) the stripping of our constitutional rights that has been the hallmark of domestic governance the past few years. These unfortunate facts concern everyone, which is why WE NEED YOUR HELP.

What is the RNC?

We are trying to arrange travel to Tampa, Florida this August to attend the Republican National Convention. This will prove to be a very telling time for the GOP as they choose who will receive the presidential nomination - "Business as Usual" Romney or Constitutional champion Ron Paul - fully demonstrating in one fell swoop whose interests they really serve. Regardless of the outcome, 2008's RNC produced mass chaos as riot police swept in to subdue dissenters, and this year's RNC is likely to be far worse. This is why the Gray State team needs to be there - to reveal the listless mainstream media's bias, to confront the politicians who perpetuate the system, and document jackboot police thugs abusing their authority.

What's the Money for?

The $5,000 will cover expenses such as van rental, gas, lodging, camera rental, and food for the entire trip, as well as other costs like putting Danny's dog Chino up in a kennel while he's away. And, of course, if we receive more than we are asking for, the surplus funding will go directly into the Gray State feature film effort... which will begin making its public appearance in early August.
