Also a quick refund update: We’ve processed about 30% of the refunds and are continuing to move forward as quickly as we can. A lot of users have requested that we refund through PayPal instead of Kickstarter, which has caused a slight delay while we move funds from Amazon Payments to our PayPal account. If you are still missing your login information, please make a request through our automated system http://teampixel.com/save-homeworld/reset or comment if for some reason the e-mail isn’t reaching your mailbox.

To date, the majority of supporters who have requested refund credentials have logged in and checked their info. However, there are still many of you we are waiting to hear back from. While we have also been sending out login credentials in batches, if for any reason you haven’t yet received your information, please make a request at http://teampixel.com/save-homeworld/reset
On Tuesday, we will begin processing refunds even if we haven’t heard back from you. We expect to knock out most of the refunds within a few days, but given the number of donors, the process may take a couple weeks for special cases, especially if we can’t get a hold of you. (Please login and review our records for your donation; Many users who have already logged in and confirmed their information with us have already had their refunds processed!)
On a similar note, if you donated via Indiegogo using Credit Card, you absolutely must get in contact with us, as we have no PayPal or Amazon Payments account on record to do a refund.
You should see the following statuses in our system:
- Pending = A donation is pending review by the donor and/or teamPixel staff
- Exception = We have identified an issue refunding you. (Usually lack of contact information.) Please read our notes to resolve the issue.
- Processing = A refund has been initiated and we are awaiting confirmation from the payment processor.
- Completed = We have confirmation that the refund has been processed and should reach you soon. Our notes will include the PayPal/Amazon confirmation transaction ID whenever possible.
- Retained = The donor has requested that funds be put toward teamPixel’s own space RTS game.

Homeworld will escape the THQ bankruptcy to a new home, however, that home will not be with teamPixel, LLC. The auction for the Homeworld license ended April 15, 2013, and while we reached qualified bidder status for the bankruptcy auction, we were unable to raise the necessary funds to remain competitive against the other parties at the auction. We hope you will join us in supporting Homeworld’s new owners in building a future for the franchise. We anticipate an announcement of the new owner to be made within a couple weeks and for the sale to be finalized around mid-May. Words cannot describe how honored we are to have been supported by so many in the community.
As promised, we are offering full refunds to all of our generous donors. To facilitate this process, we’ve established a website where you can verify that we have properly recorded all of your contributions, supply us with any special instructions for your donation, and track your refund. As a special thanks, we would like to offer each and every donor a special credit in our upcoming space RTS game. Yes, this means we will still be moving forward with our own Homeworld-inspired space RTS, but under our own intellectual property. We hope all of you will stay in touch and follow us during the production of our game.

We will provide donors with 5 business days to send us any special instructions before we automatically attempt a refund to your original PayPal or Amazon Payments account. In the event that these accounts are unavailable, you must provide us with an address to send a money order (USA donors only) or an accessible PayPal.
