Save the Stage! The Stage was built in 1903 as the Farman Theater and began showing films in 1911. Over the years, the theater has gone through several renovations and name changes. We are now a non-profit theater, unique in offering both film and live performances in our large 450+ person auditorium. Our mission is to provide quality, affordable entertainment to our community and the surrounding areas.
How you can help:
We need $15,000 for the down payment and installation of a new digital projector. We've already raised part of the money, but we need at least $8000 more before we can begin. Even the smallest donation can help us stay afloat.
What will you get in return? Besides knowing that you've contributed to a great cause, your name will appear on our website with one of the perks below. If you prefer, we'll send you memorabilia from one of our many shows in place of tickets.
- For a donation of $25, you will receive 2 VIP passes, good for any show at The Stage.
- At the $100 mark, you'll receive 2 VIP passes, and a beautiful The Stage t-shirt (black with our logo).
- For a $500 donation, you will receive 2 season passes, two The Stage t-shirts, a signed poster from The Stage Players, and your name on the big screen! You can also elect to showcase your business or cause on the big screen for a whole year.
- Pledge $2500 or more and you'll get a private screening or event at The Stage for up to 400 people! You will also receive two season passes, two The Stage t-shirts, a signed poster from The Stage Players, and your name will appear on the marquee and in our lobby as a contributor. You can also elect to showcase your business or cause on the big screen for a whole year.
If we don't meet our goal, the funds gained will still go toward the projector upgrade and we will continue to raise funds throughout our community.
How your contribution helps:We are the only year round theater in Wyoming County, New York and the contiguous areas of five surrounding counties. We offer a variety of entertainment options to our community, including first run and classic film, live theater, music performances (we've recently hosted Lone Star, Tracey Lawrence and Kendall Phillips), fundraisers, and children's activities and events.
Other ways you can help:
How else can you help? We are always looking for volunteers! You can also share this campaign and spread the word to your friends and family. Even a quick post on Facebook might make the difference if we are able to make our goal or not!
