Save Bleecker Abbott and help the French Bulldog Rescue Network

    Hey guys!  This is Bleecker.  He's a 7 month French Bulldog who spends his days running around gnawing on salmon sticks and showering his human friends with endless hugs and kisses.   Bleecker is a real crowd pleaser, class clown, and full of love.  He's such a precious gem to our family and community and everyone who meets him is smitten from their first belly scratch.  

    On December 4th Bleecker was suffering some stomach issues that became rather viloent by around 2:30 pm.  He was rushed to our local vet, x-rayed for obstructions, and left feeling a bit better by 8:00 pm.   

    Around 2:30 am on the 5th Bleecker woke me up wheezing and gasping for air.  The display was extremely scary and I knew he needed care immediately.  In the cab ride to Blue Pearl Veterinary Hospital Bleecker was fading in my arms.  If I had waited even ten minutes more I would have lost my precious puppy.  

   Bleecker is now in ICU and has had a couple of procedures performed to help unblock his airways.  A small needle and thread were found inside his throat with a great deal of swelling.  He is now relying on a tracheostomy to breathe properly and there is a fair amount of fluid still draining out of his throat.  He is ocassionaly breathing through his nose, but needs the tube to survive.  The doctors forsee a few more procedures before he is out of ICU.  

   With vet bills coming to a total of $12,000, I am starting to worry about how to pay for Bleecker's health.  I have pet insurance and they are still a bit wishy washy about what all will be covered.  I absolutely hate asking for money, but I thought I would reach out to friends and family to see if anyone would be willing to donate to Bleecker's cause.  I promise a walk and a date to the dog park to any and everyone who donate once he is well.  

   Any overage that I receive will be donated to the French Bulldog Rescue Network.  http://www.frenchbulldogrescue.org  They are an amazing organization that helps put these furry little frog dogs in to happy homes and protects them from kill shelters.  

   I know the holidays are tough, but please help me save my baby and hopefully some of these frenchies that desperately need a home!
