Save 309-former home of Trumpet Records

Time is running out. Keep in touch as we go into the final stretch.(&TELL YOUR FRIENDS)

(This campaign is for the purpose of repairing the "Trumpet Records" building. 'Studio 309' does not intend to do business as 'Trumpet Records'. I'd like to thank the McMurry family.)

When people find out I'm from Mississippi, they often ask, "Why don't ya'll do more to preserve the Historical landmarks the rest of the world reads about?" After all, Mississippi does call itself, "The birthplace of American Music". We are are trying to do somethng. If you're from Mississippi, do it for your state, If you like Rock and Roll, show some gratitude for those who went before, If you like history, you might want to preserve the story. If you've got money burning a hole in your pocket, we need your help.

What we're asking you to do...

1-select a perk,

If your budget is real tight, just send us $5.00.  That'll get you a post card from "309" N Farish Street. There's probably no better way to spend $5.00. Imagine a postcard from the location that recorded Elmore James and Sonny Boy Williamson.

$20.00 Or, maybe you can "Break off a Twenty". That will get you a bumper/guitar case sticker and the Post Card. REPRESENT!!!

I know some people will have trouble taking advantage of this, but $25 gets you a post card, the bumper/guitar case sticker, and 2 ($10 each) free passes to Frank Jones Corner. Frank Jones Corner is at 303 N Farish Street. Where you can be a  part of what you've read about. The band starts playing at midnight and goes to 4 am. Meanwhile, there are grilled bologna steaks on the grill. And the best "Blues Dogs" your going to find.

Up it a little to $35 and you'll get all that with an accompanied stroll down the second block of Farish Street. Many of the locals can tell about growing up on Farish Street. The stroll will end up with a meal at Ms Peaches' Cafe.(cost of the meal not included) Or if it's a good day, we might walk down to "The Big Apple Inn" for world famous  Pig Ear sandwiches.

$50.00 gets a "SUPERSIZE", package, Postcard, Sticker, 2 FJC passes, a stroll down 2nd Block, and you get to spend a hands on day sweeping and cleaning the old Trumpet Records building!  As walls are being cleaned, electricity run, plumbing done, we're having discussions about toilet fixtures, where to put the drum booth and  you'll be in the middle of it. (How cool is that!?!?!?)

Once in Jackson, we'll have an Indigogo party early at Frank Jones' Corner. Then we'll stay around for the midnight set. I'll be sure you meet some of my favorite musicians.

$1000 I'll assemble some genuine Mississippi musicians to lay down tracks in the BB King style, Jimmy Reed style, Chuck Berry Style, Elmore James Style, and Stevie Ray style, Little Milton style, and Bobby Bland style. You pick your favorite 2 styles and sing away. A professional experience. Practice up, you'll only get an hour to get you vocal line right.
