Dear likers, fans, backers; RIOT has been GREENLIT and will come out on STEAM! We are blown away by the response that we had. Thank you! Yes, thank you, because without you, we could have never got to this point. And now, to the development cave! (P.s. Stay tuned…)
TO ALL THE SUPPORTERS OF RIOT
Thanks for your passion and dedication and helping making RIOT happen.
It is just unbelievable that so many people share the same vibe about the project and believe in it with a contribution. We are amazed by all the support that you are showing us through so many different ways!
We could go on thanking you again and again, but let’s first tackle some of the questions that you have been asking us.
So onwards on our immediate and future steps:
RESEARCH AND TRAVELS
-Leonard will go to Egypt for a week to research, Mattia (and possibly Ugur) will leave for GDC all on the 25th
WORKING ON THE GAME
While Ugur is working with Unity and coding the core parts of the game, Leonard is directing and making art and Mattia is taking care of the communication aspect. All three are tuning and defining the game mechanics and story.
As said, the aim is to start the private beta in the next few months. From April on, Riot will get into full-time development.
SUPPORT RIOT AND/OR GETTING ACCESS TO THE BETA
If you would like to further support RIOT and/or missed the Indiegogo campaign, we will arrange something soon. Keep an eye on www.riotgame.org!
STAYING IN THE LOOP
A blog will soon be implemented on the official website (www.riotgame.org). If you’re more into social stuff, feel free to follow us on Facebook ( https://www.facebook.com/riotgame.org ) or follow Leonard on twitter ( https://twitter.com/LMenchiari ).
The campaign was an important step, but the real major steps are up now.
We will try hard to make it worth your time and support.
Once again, Thank you.
Talk to you soon,
The link to the FAQ got cut off weird, here it is again: http://bit.ly/XbmuxU
Thanks for all the support you have given us for Riot!
We have only 3 days left so please, spread the word about the campaign!
And remember to vote us on Steam Greenlight!
We have also updated the FAQ with additional answers to common questions, answered here: http://www.stimunation.com/projects/RIOT/mainSite/indiegogo_FAQ/
The question answered are:
-Do you have any stretch goals?
-What tech is used to create RIOT?
-I know you answered this before, but really, when is it coming out?
-Will there be a closed beta of the PC/Mac/Linux version, too?
-Does any of the perks include the Ouya version?
-(How) Will the PC/Mac/Linux version be different from the mobile game, is this a mobile game ported to desktop or the other way round?
3 Days left! Greenlight and FAQs!
Frequently Asked Questions:
Ok, another important thing to address:
We received a lot of questions and other feedback in the last week, more and more every day.
So much that it’s hard for us to keep up =)
We try to answer as many questions as possible and get to each as quickly as possible, but we are a small team and also working on the game, you know =)
So, Frequently Asked Questions section to the rescue:
This is mostly for answering some of your contributor questions for now, hope it is useful =)
