What would happen if tomorrow you were carted into hospital unconscious?
There are some very scary numbers around the whole Emergency experience. Trust me when I say you don't want to know.
The numbers around lost children are just as scary.
The numbers around losing stuff are big, crazy big, but after the first two, when you really think about it, aren't that important.
I set out to scratch my own itch. My itch started when I was diagnosed with Diabetes nine years ago and the one thing that had me banging my head against the wall was the big, stupid, ugly bracelet that I was supposed to wear. So this is what I came up with.
I’m also a father and I’ve been that guy who in a crowded shop has turned around and said they were standing there just a second ago (more than once but don’t tell anyone). So this was another itch that I could scratch. I’ve yet to find any parent / uncle / aunt / carer / guardian who hasn’t shared that itch.
Have you ever returned to your car and reached for your keys to find them not where you thought you had left them? So you begin an all too familiar version of the Makerena as you pat down each and every pocket they could be possibly be in. I can tell that this is triggering some memories for you ;-)
Those are the things that we want to do and I hope that you can help us with them.
What We Need
OK so I have this idea and I think it's great and I talk to people and they think it's great and I discuss it with people online and they think it's great but for this to work I really need people to show me how much you love it. So what I plan to do is one big production run and I'm looking for people to help with that. Everything else I will be paying out of my own pocket.
What You Get
So my first perk is to offer a 25% discount on your Rescuez ID together with a year’s membership. It’s a thank you for supporting us in our campaign and it could save your life and it will help us to achieve our goals. Don’t just get one for yourself – you’ve lots of family and friends that need one too!
For the second perk I'm offering life membership together with your chance to choose your own personal ID code. Just like driving around in that beautiful car with those personalised plates that you always wanted!
The third perk is really a chance to help someone else. Any variation in production costs money and what I want to do is to develop a unique ID for each illness and allergy and that will allow the even quicker diagnosis and action in an emergency. Your contribution will allow us to produce a unique version to each condition.
The fourth and for the moment final perk is a shout out to all you multi-millionaires, multi-nationals and multi-vitamins. Want to help us conquer the world? Call me!
We’re talking to Doctors and Nurses and Paramedics and they’re excited about what we are doing and can see the real and measurable benefits that we can bring. We talk to policemen and policewomen and they know how this can be applied to the stuff they see going on everyday.
