Insult to Injury
As this new storm batters the northeast more people might lose power and more damage is possible. We need to help these people.

So far we have raised a total of $400.00. That’s not enough to even get on the road yet.
Right now another big storm is threatening the same areas affected by Sandy. This makes things much harder and the risk of even more animals being displaced is very high.

Help us bring them home and make things safe!

For those of you wondering how funds will be dispersed.

Some will be used for actual rescues, in other words traveling, fuel, rescue operations. Some will be used to help the local horse rescues in affected states with feed, medical needs and feeding the horses they take in. Some will be used to transport horses back home and help owners recover from the storm and rebuild damaged stables and pastures.
All fund will be used for these purposes. Administration and rescue operations are all done by volunteers. So 100% of the donations collected help horses directly.

As the storm travels further inland and turns to the north it will cover several states and Canada. The path takes it through rural parts of most of the Northeast. These areas will be inundated with rain and flood waters. As has happened many times before horses, cows and many other animals will be lost and displaced. They will need food, shelter and medical attention. Our goal is to be there as soon as roads are passable. THe quicker we get to them the better the chances are of survival.
