Geek.print() is a startup reprap kit producer and research company. Our goal is to provide affordable 3d printers to the reprap community as well as researching new methods of using 3d printers. Backers will have the chance to get printed parts and/or fully built Prusa Mendel printers at or below market price, as well as helping Geek.print() take off.
Who we are:Geek.print() is a company spawned from a blogger who writes Do while(Geek). Geek.print() is dedicated to providing 3d printers with realistic price tags to people all over the world. Being a group of Computer science students we are eager to be a part of the cutting edge in this awesome technology, working hard to bring a top-notch quality product to the customer.
Why we need your help:As you can well imagine, a college students budget is tight. And while we've secured a workshop and most of the tools required, we still have a few key instruments missing. That's where you come in--by donating to our project we are able to fill the perk orders in batches, allowing time to acquire the aforementioned tools.
The Promise:Even if our funding goals cannot be reached, we guarantee perk rewards to each and every one of our backers.
Included with printed parts kits:All kits will come with required printed parts for a Huxley or Prusa 3d printer. Kits will also include all required printed parts for a Wade's extruder.
Included with Unassembled Prusa kits:This DIY kit includes everything you need to build your own Prusa Mendel printer. This is the best option for someone just getting into the reprap project and going the classic, self-builder route.
Included with Prebuilt Prusa kits:This kit includes a pre-built Prusa Mendel printer. The item will be built and tested before it is snuggly packed into a nice box for shipping. The electronics portion of the machine will be Sanguinololu v1.3a and it will also have a headed pcb bed, making ABS printing possible.
The kit will also include a pound of filament in the color that your printed parts are printed in.
Orders & shippingWe will be operating on a "first in, first out" basis.
