The Story
Kate, a young and beautiful runaway, has made a meager living as a stripper in Los Angeles. Despite her innocent appearance, she carries a darker secret. With the help of her close friends, Kate tries to better her life and overcome her past, but first she must overcome the obstacle of being lost in a world of sex, drugs, and violence.
The Impact
This film, which we will make in an astonishing 14 days, will inspire every person that watches it.
At its core, this story is about an underdog and the obstacles she must overcome to better her life. People want to be inspired by the underdog, and that's exactly what Kate does.
Additionally, one of the major themes in this film is abuse. We are working on getting sponsorship from a Domestic Violence Awareness Group so that we can help spread the message about people getting help if they need it.
We intend on entering the completed project into any and every film festival out there. From there, I will work night and day to get distribution. Wouldn't you also like to see this film on HBO or Showtime? The more money we raise, the better chance we have of producing a beautiful film that's ready for Cable.

What we need
How much money do we need? Anything we can get!
The 2:21 minute teaser was around $1500. Redlight Kate will be around 90 minutes.
We were able to raise $1100 during the last campaign. However, we're going to need a lot more to make this film a success!
Making a great film costs a lot of money
-Camera equipment costs up to $500 a day to rent, which doesn't include lenses, batteries, steadicam, zoom, etc (an extra $100-$200 a day).
-Lighting will cost about $200 a day.
-Catering (i.e. the food I will make/buy for the cast and crew) $1000 a week.
-Equipment insurance is $1000.
-Locations (strip club, hospital, boat, bus) will cost around $4,000.
-Additionally, the crew and actors should be paid for their time and experience, but we can only pay them if we get the money we need!
-Post production will cost around $5,000 which includes editor fees, color correction, etc.
-Film Festival submission costs
We have found a way to make this film for ONLY $35,000. In comparison to other low budget indie films like Paranormal Activity, made for $15,000 with only 2 actors and 1 house, $30,000 is extremely low. We can do it, but we need your help!!
Please check out our perks section to see what your donation gets YOU!
