Operation: Red Sleigh Down
Red Sleigh Down is an original independent short animation project by writer/director Alberto Lopez, VFX artist Dann Enriquez, and writer Carlos Garcia.
The idea is that Santa Clause is labeled a terrorist because he's giving out free gifts every year, thus disrupting the U.S economy. Big corporations start grassroots campaigns against Santa, which lead to him getting deported to Tijuana.

Supporting the local Filmmaking Community
The goal is to make a short film and to educate the local community about filmmaking. Our team will hold monthly meetings and talk about our filmmaking process.
Donating to Non-profit
All donations will go directly to theMedia Arts Center San Diego, who will disburse funds for the project. The Media Arts Center San Diego is a 501(c)3 non-profit organization, and donations will be tax deductible. We will send you a non-profit letter with their Tax ID number after the donation has been made.
Because of the scope of this project we will need storyboarding, art concepts, asset building, voice acting, animation, along with post production. Your contribution will go DIRECTLY toward keeping our cast and crew modestly paid.

Jose Yenque will star as Santo Clos. Jose Yenque's powerful performances have warranted notable mentions and strong recognition. His most recognizable role was in the Steven Soderbergh film 'Traffic' (2000) where he portrayed a corrupt Tijuana soldier known as the "Torturer" opposite Benicio Del Toro. Yenque's TV film debut earned him an 'ALMA Award' for _Foto-Novelas: The Fix (1997)_ (dir Carlos Avila) in which he played a down and out boxer in search of redemption. Director Carlos Avila (I) later cast Yenque in the feature film Price of Glory(2000) opposite Jimmy Smits. Born and raised in Brooklyn, NY, son of veteran New York Broadway stage actress Teresa Yenque, Jose Yenque grew up in the theater. After graduating High School he was offered a scholarship to Ballet Hispanico of N.Y. Yenque also trained extensively in several NY Theater companies. He then toured internationally 'West Side Story' where he received rave reviews for his portrayal of "Bernardo" before moving to Los Angeles.
(Writer/Director) Alberto Lopez is a San Diego based filmmaker who has worked on commercials, documentaries, and short films. He has won multiple awards for his editing and motion graphics work. Alberto recently graduated from the Art Institute of California - San Diego where he received a Bachelors of Science in Media Arts and Animation. He won "Best in Show" at the Art Institute graduatePortfolio show, where he competed with seven other majors for the award.
