Help fund Randy Rose's hip replacement
Wrestling historians and fans alike, can remember turning on their television in the 80's and watching wrestlers fighting for Championship Gold and each other! One of the great memories of that time, was the strong emergence of the Tag-Team division. One of the leading teams of that era was The Original Midnight Express, consisting of Randy Rose , Dennis Condrey and Norvell Austin, soon became the NWA Tag Team champions and later down the road, AWA World Tag Team champions. One of their most notable feuds would pit the The "Original" Midnight Express, managed by a fresh faced Paul E. Dangerously, against a "newly" formed Midnight Express managed by Jim Cornett. Towards the end of the 80's the feud came to an end and Randy went on to Georgia All-Star Wrestling and the Global Wrestling Federation where he would later retire. After his retirement Randy went on to help local charities, most notably the Mucscular Dystrophy Association(MDA).
Due to the rough and tumble lifestyle led by these athletes, over time, their bodies suffer the effects of wrestling. That being said, Randy Rose's hip has deteriorated to the point of needing a full hip replacement surgery. Randy will be having this surgery at the end of October 2013. Being that insurance for wrestlers is limited, if non existent, this Indiegogo account has been created. We would like to ask you, the fans, to please give back if you can to a man who gave a majority of his career to you. We are asking for $8500 to help Randy have this surgery, mend and ultimately be pain free. If for any reason we cannot reach this goal totally for Randy, the money raised will still assist him going towards the surgery. This account, along with a P.O. Box (P.O. Box 222, Acworth, Ga. 30101) has been set up where you can make your donation in the form of PayPal, cash, check or money order payable to R&R Lifts c/o Randy. Please look and see below what Randy Rose will give you in return for your donation(s). Thank you for your time reading this and your donation, it is GREATLY appreciated!
