Hi folks,
Unfortunately we did not meet our funding goal. We just wanted to let everyone know that we are not giving up on Pwned! any time soon. We are reorganizing and working out a new strategy.
We found that on the last campaign, only about 8,000 to 12,000 people even saw the page. We apparently were not effective enough in getting the word out. This is something we are going to focus on.
We wanted to assure everyone that we will be running another bigger and better campaign, and that everyone who has backed us thus far will still receive their perks once the film has been financed.
We will alert everyone once the new campaign is live.
Regards,
The ChaosNgn Team
Hi everyone,
It doesn’t look like we will hit our goal within the next 64 hours. I would like to thank all of those who backed the project. We will be regrouping so that we can learn from our experience and put out another campaign soon which should be able to reach more folks. Sadly, only about 8,000 people saw the page.
Everyone who has donated will receive their perks once the film is completed. It will just take a bit longer than we anticipated.
We’re not giving up on the film or the families of Sandy Hook any time soon.
Low and behold, I made the most recent update, and the timer ticked down to 7. So now we’re down to seven days.
One of the questions asked of us is what are our stretch goals?
I would have to say the most important is the first $5,000. This covers the camera. We’ve had a company be kind enough as to provide us with a $65,000 camera for just $5,000. Once we hit this mark, we can then proceed with shooting various scenes, a better promo, and much more!
While a lot of the funds are going to talent, crew, food, locations, and so forth, the most important first step is the camera.
With just 8 days left, we are still working hard behind the scenes to make the film bigger and better. We still have hope that somewhere, somehow the word will catch hold.
We have to admit that we are saddened that it has been harder to get the word out than we initially anticipated. We still have hope, however, and we can promise you that the film will be made. One way or another, we will find a way and it will be made.
The team has worked too hard and come much too far to give up any time soon. Far too hard to bring our vision of a legit gamer comedy to the screen, and much too far to turn back now and walk away from the families affected in Newtown.
Here is the latest Grumpy Panda episode of Meter Maids starring Peter Podgursky and Lejon.
Enjoy!
